Golfers
are invited to dust off those clubs and hit the course on Friday, May 17th,
2013 for the Boys & Girls Club of Souhegan Valley Charity Golf Classic at Amherst
Country Club. Registration starts at
11:30am with a tee off at 12:15pm. The
scramble format tournament will be followed by a dinner reception, auction, and
comedy show for $650 per foursome or $175 per golfer. All proceeds benefit the Boys & Girls
Club of Souhegan Valley.

Sponsorships
are available at many levels starting with a tee sponsor at $175. New this year
is a tent sponsor. Businesses and organizations
are invited to set up a tent at one of the tees and engage with the tournament
golfers. “The tent sponsorship allows businesses to distribute company materials,
hold a raffle or game…it’s really a great opportunity to do something fun on
the golf course and gain exposure,” states Donna Rosenstock, Director of
Resource Development for the Club.
Also
new this year is the dinner and a comedy show to follow the tournament. For an
additional $35/person, golfers are encouraged to invite a guest and be a part
of the evening’s activities.
“Knowing
this is our only golf tournament for the year, we stepped up and put together
what we believe will be an amazing event with prizes, dinner, and comedy show,”
states Susan Taylor, Executive Director of the Club. “There is a great deal of excitement this
year, especially knowing someone might take home a Jeep Wrangler from our new
prize vault game! For $20 we’ll be selling opportunities to golfers and the
public to guess the vault’s combination at the Amherst Country Club all
afternoon!”
