Kids Club Enrichment Programs Fall Schedule

Starting October 19th    |   Ending December 11th

Enrichment Programs are included in our *after-school program at no additional charge (however, nominal material fees may be charged for certain programs). These programs provide educational enrichment opportunities for Club members and are taught by professional, caring adults.

Karate                                                 Grades 4-5                   Tuesday 4:15PM
This introductory karate course will be taught by Neil Stone Karate Academy. Please make sure to sign the waivers!

3-Man Last Man Standing                Grades 3-8                  Thursday 4:15PM
Members will compete in a team format

Artist of the week                               Grades 1-5                  Monday 4:15-5PM
Learn about the life & times of a different artist each week, and then recreate/mimic some of their most famous works.
  
Travel the world                                 Grades 1 & up           Wednesday 4:15-5PM
Learn about the culture, food, traditions, and people of a different country each week. We’ll cook, read, draw & learn our way across the world,

Walking Club                                      Grades 1 & up          Everyday 4:15-5PM
Daily walking experience for all club kids. Members will challenge themselves to see how many miles they can walk & will win prizes for miles completed.

Literary Magazine                             Grades 2-7                  Thursday 4:15-5PM
The Literary Magazine, BE GREAT TIMES, is going to be a creative outlet for club members. Students will have six weeks to work on short stories, poems, news, songs, artwork and photography that will all come together in our magazine. 

Acapella Club                                   Grades 4 & up            Mon & Wed 4:15-5PM
The Acapella Club will be a hands on learning experience for club members as we explore the world of making music with no instruments. Throughout the six weeks, kids will come together to create three songs.

Odd/Even                                            Grades 2- 5                 Friday 4:15-5PM
Odd/Even is going to be an activity that will hopefully teach kids the importance of teamwork. Kids of this activity will be split up into two different groups were they will learn how to play dodgeball and also learn four songs for a lip sync battle. At the end of the six weeks, the kids of the two teams, the ODD team or the EVEN team, will play a game of dodgeball and do the lip sync battle. There will be no winner because the goal of this enrichment it to teach teamwork and leadership.

Yoga: Healthy Body, Healthy Mind  Grades 2- 5                 Mon/Wed 5-5PM
Learn the basics of yoga & poses while learning how to meditate for a healthy soul.

Knitting                                               Grades 2- 5                 Tues & Thurs 4:15-5PM
Members will learn how to create art with yarn, thread & string, while finger knitting, making friendship bracelets & how to knit using circular needles.

Fall Chefs                                            Grades 2- 5th               Friday 4:15-5PM
Fall Chefs will consist of fall holiday themed cooking, baking and making creative edibles. Children will learn how to read a recipe, understand its ingredients and where to find them, how to follow the recipe directions and clean up after themselves. Children may also learn patience working as a group and strengthen reading and math skills.

Members will learn basic programming & build a robot as a team. 

NetSmartz                                           Grades 1-3                  Monday 4:15-5PM
This enrichment will teach children the importance of internet safety

This enrichment will teach children the importance of internet safety

Broadway Dance                                Grades K-3                 Tuesday 5:15-6PM
Learn fun routines to some popular Broadway songs. Occasional theater & acting games will be played.

Broadway Dance                                Grades K-3                 Thursday 5:15-6PM
Members will learn routines from today’s newest music.

*Annual Club Membership Registration ($35) & payment for after-school program (Kids Club or Teen Club) on the days an enrichment program is held is required to participate in Enrichment Programs.
